Hello!

My name is Van Chung, and I’m a Chinese-Vietnamese American freelance illustrator from southern California, currently living in Taipei! I graduated with a BA in Communication Studies & minor in Advertising & Graphic Design. Until a few years ago, I was a content manager at a PR & social media company in Los Angeles, helping to create & strategize for brands & personalities including SkinMedica, Olly Vitamins, Gwen Stefani, Chelsea Handler, Kevin Bacon, Unagi Scooters, Christina Aguilera, Chris Pratt, and more. Now, I'm chasing my dream to be an illustrator and using my knowledge in social media to reach audiences that resonate with my visual storytelling. I specialize in digital image-making and focus on my cultural identity through playful and vibrant images of people and food. I've provided both editorial and branding work to clients, including Full Pour Magazine, CAUSE USA, Passion Planner, The AAPI Victory Fund, The Los Angeles Review, and more.

In my free time, I love to dance, vlog, take photos, and build Lego models :)
