In April of 2026, I received an opportunity to work with 麻膳堂 Mazendo, a restaurant chain in Taiwan serving up classic Taiwanese dishes. I created a brand illustration for marketing materials and restaurant decor. To align with Mazendo’s branding and heritage while injecting warmth and personality, I crafted an image of the 12 zodiac animals dining together, feasting on Mazendo’s best-selling dumplings, beef noodle soup, and fried rice. To further root the scene in Chinese cuisine & dining, I added a Chinese meander pattern as a border that is often used in Chinese tableware design.
